Below is a date and time schedule of our local talents of voice and music during the Columbus Public Library’s Festival of Trees for the month of December, 2009:
Dec 17 - 11:45 am to 12:30 pm Cal Stegall playing the dulcimer
Dec 17 - 1:30 pm to 2:15 pm Victory Christian’s 6th Grade – Hand Bells
Dec 21 - 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm Suzuki music
Dec 22 - 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm Sandifer Trio
Dec 23 - 12:00 pm to 12:45 pm Jason Latham will play the piano
There will more to come throughout the month and this list
will be updated as they are scheduled.

Volunteers of all ages wanted to help scientists study storms. The exploration begins in your back yard with CoCoRaHS!
The Community Collaborative Rain, Hail, and Snow Network (CoCoRaHS) of Mississippi needs you! This CoCoRaHS program is presented by the Department of Geosciences at MS State University. Everyone can participate — young, old, and in-between.
If you possess an enthusiasm for watching and reporting weather conditions and a desire to learn more about how weather can affect and impact our lives, this is a perfect opportunity for you.

Annual Festival of Trees

Columbus Public Library
We invite you to our first Festival of Trees during the month of December at the Columbus Public Library, located at 314 North 7th Street.
From the traditional to the unique, the trees will be on display during our normal operational hours.
There will also be local talents of voice and music throughout the month. Check this website for dates and times.

Can’t find what you are looking for in our catalog? Fill out an Interlibrary Loan Request (ILL) form and we will be glad to request it for you from another library.
These forms can be found at the Circulation Desks of the libraries or now on our website at www.lowndes.lib.ms.us. Just under the Library Catalogue search button to the right of the page, you may click where it says “interlibrary loan form”, fill it out and send it. We will then contact you by email when your item has arrived.
